AstroLite is a compass (also indicates direction of death). and planetary hour (hora) owners and the best activity for the hour. The best activity to carry out during a given period is indicated using a unique engine which takes the positions of all the planets during the hora and indicates the dominant feature (Note this is not individualised hour owner indicator).

AstroLite is a free app. AstroLite does not generate planetary positions or charts. However it has full access to sunrise/sunset times, rahu kalaya indication, auspicious direction (based on moon) compass (also indicates direction of death). and planetary hour (hora) owners and the best activity for the hour. Astro does everything AstroLite does and can additionally generate planetary positions for any given date. It can also generate Vedic chart information for any location (within 66 degrees North and South) and any time (since 1900). It is a paid app.

(Note: Both these apps require a network data connection to obtain longitude and latitude info. This is required for accurate sunrise/sunset calculations which in vedic astrology herald the start and end of the day)
