Do you remember the 1995 PPG Cup season?

- It was the season in which Jaques Villeneuve won his first IndyCar
championship (it was his second full season after being the rookie of
1994 with the 2nd place in this championship).

- The season had some tracks in its calendar for the last time...
1995 was the last time that the "Big boys" drove in Indianapolis, they
drove also the last time at Phoenix International Raceway and in
Loudon. (The next seasons brought many new tracks like Rio, Homestead,
Madison, Motegi, Fontana or Houston). Also included in the 1995 season
was the temporary street course in Miami. I don't remember exaclty,
but wasn't it used a lot in the early 90s? I think so...
This was also a track that wasn't used after 1995.
(It also isn't included in "IndyCar Racing II / CART Racing")

- The next season we remember that the IndyCar series splitted into
the "PPG World Car Championship" and the "Indy Racing League"...

- The season didn't have only some things for the last time - it also
brought some new things...
Firestone had its first season after a long time. And the new tires
succeeded for example in Michigan. We all know that Firestone will be
the only tire manufacturer in 2000...

- The Mercedes-Benz engines had their first full season after
dominating the 1994 Indianapolis 500.

Well, that's a lot of info...
You may ask yourself: Why did this guy made a 1995 CART2K carset?
Why he didn't made a 1998 or so season carset?

The answer is this:
I have made a 1995 carset some years ago. I still got the tons of pics
and infos on this season. So I decided to take the old carset and to
make it fitting to the CART2K carshape. It was a lots of work...
(because I didn't have that much time to complete it and because I am
lazy)

Now I did it - and its up to you whether you will like this carset...

Bye

PS:
Thanks to Ed Roman (who "heared" a hundred times that this carset is
finished) for his patience.
Oh, and thanks for Marc Nelson and Junae Ludwig's work on the CART2K
carshape. If you still don't know... I am using this carshape...
Thanks to Rbert Sziksz for his Reynard99 carshape and for this 3d
rims. I use them for this carset. (But you won't see very much of the
3d effect since both [Firestone and Goodyear] tires have black rims.
I use those black rims because most of the cars had them.)
